There is no doubt that the times in which we now live are indeed troubled times.  The Bible talks of these times in 2nd Timothy, chapter 3.

"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.  People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous. without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God - having a form of godliness but denying its power.  HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM." vs 1-5 (NIV)

This describes the times we are living in.  It comes with a warning: Have nothing to do with them. In other words it is a time to separate ourselves from the ungodly people and choose to live for Him. It is time to choose which side you are on.

2nd Timothy 2:19 (NIV) "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."

Joshua 24:15 Choose you this day whom ye will serve: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

When times of trouble come, what do you trust in?  Is it in your job, your money, your strength, your natural wisdom, your family, or your connections?  These will only get you so far.  But faith in God and His word will bring you victory!  He is the God over all creation.  The God who created you and cares about you.   As one of His children, you can have confidence that God will see you through and that He will take care of you. You are entitled to His benefits.  The benefits of peace, security, protection, health, and finances.

Psalm 68:19 "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation."

Psalm 107:6 "Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses."

Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

Psalm 9:9-10  "The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.  And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee."

Psalm 29:11 "The Lord will give strength unto his people; The Lord will bless his people with peace."

Psalm 84:11 "For the Lord is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."

Psalm 86:7 "In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me,"

Be assured!  When times of trouble come, you can call on the name of the Lord and He will hear you.  He promises that He will not forsake you and that He will deliver you from all your fears. Trust Him and He will be there when you need Him! Hold fast to His Word.  It will be your anchor in the storm.

If you have never received Him as your Savior, or you need to recommit yourself to Him you can pray this prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,  I ask forgiveness for my sins.  I will turn away from my ungodly ways and commit myself to you.  I acknowledge Jesus as my Lord and Savior and I renounce Satan and all his ways in my life.   Will you forgive me and come into my life?

Since you received Jesus as Savior and Lord in your life, it is important to do the following things to grow in your Christian life:

Make time to read your Bible and pray every day.

Find a good Bible Believing Church and attend regularly.

Get in the company of other Christians and stay away from people who will keep you from doing what is right.

Commit yourself to your new way of life and forsake all sin.

God bless you in your new life!
