The Word of God tells us that by faith we can move mountains.  Mountains in our lives can be sickness, financial troubles, relationship problems or anything that would be a problem in this life.  "Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you,  That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith."  Mark 11:22-23

To start our journey of receiving by faith we first must understand what faith is.  "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1

This is what the Lord gave me concerning faith, hope and doubt.

Faith takes action.  Faith expects to receive. Hope wants the same thing, but does not have the confidence to do something.

Faith must be exercised.  Little exercise produces weak faith.  Much exercise produces strong faith. (Use the faith you have!)

Doubt sees the problem. Faith sees the solution.  Doubt reminds you of past failures.  Faith "forgets those things that are behind and presses forward".

Faith rests on the Word of God.  Hope has nothing to rest on.  Doubt rests on what it sees.

Faith has an expectation to receive.  Hope wants to receive, but does not expect to receive.  Doubt expects not to receive.  The ability to receive therefore, rests on belief in the Word of God.

Faith walks on water.  Hope, doubt and unbelief stay in the boat, unwilling to try.  Faith receives.  Hope, doubt and unbelief do not receive.

Hope gives birth to faith.  Faith is the substance of things hoped for.  Faith brings into being the things hoped for.  Faith is a belief, a confident attitude that the things it hopes for will come to pass.

Faith  plans to receive.  Hope, doubt and unbelief do nothing.

So build up your faith on the Word of God and plan to receive.  Don't stop believing- Be patient and receive what God has promised.

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13  My faith will not fail!

Faith stands firm.
Hope wavers between faith and doubt.
Doubt doesn't entertain the possibility.
Unbelief flatly refuses to believe.
